Skyler Wiet

Founder/Director

Skyler Wiet is Director of SOSRES, whose leadership in advisory services, including strategic counsel for policy and communciations, is creating innovative and cutting edge solutions to the world's most pressing development issues. As Director, Skyler is responsible for guiding SOSRES's strategy, business development, project conceptualization, and management and the overall operations of the company.

Skyler has extensive experience in both development and communications. Skyler has worked as Special Advisor to the Korean Ambassador to the United Nations, serving as the primary counsel on sustainable development policy and director of communications for the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations. In addition to negotiating resolutions and representing Korea’s interests within UN processes in New York, Skyler was responsible for managing the Korean Mission's public affairs program, including launching the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' global social media program and organizing high-level multistakeholder events. Skyler has also worked with numerous UN System Organizations including the United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Centre in Bangkok, UNESCAP and UNCDF and numerous NGOs throughout Southeast Asia. His projects have ranged from developing regional communications strategies for climate change initiatives to organizing media events and panels for government agencies to promote policy initiatives and dialogue.

Skyler holds a second-level Master’s degree from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ in Public Administration, focusing on Environmental Governance as well as a Master’s in Human Rights Law from the University of Malta. He earned his undergraduate degree in International Development and Communications from the University of Iowa. In addition to native English, Skyler also speaks Italian and Thai.

daoSukthawee Suwannachairop (Dao)

Director, Advocacy

Dao is a Director of SOSRES, where he is responsible for managing the company's advocacy projects as well as leading development of multimedia products throughout Asia.  He has a proven track record of excellence in project management and has advised clients on advoacy, video production, community engagement and CSR strategies. Since 2002, Brian has worked as a consultant on projects for the World Bank, UNFPA, USAID and UNDP.

His work experience includes time with UNDP in Lao PDR and Cambodia where he facilitated the consultation process to put together public information, advocacy, and communications strategies for governmental agencies. In Cambodia, he was seconded to work at the Ministry of Environment to develop the capacity building plan for the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance's Knowledge Platform Team and also provide a tailored training program for government officials with on-the-job training/coaching activities in producing knowledge products and organizing public information activities.

Dao holds an MA in International Studies from the University of Queensland in Australia and a Bachelor’s from Chiang Mai University in Mass Communications. Dao speaks native Thai and Lao as well as fluent English as a communications professional.

Dara Khautisen

Director, Business Development
Dara is Director of Business Development SOSRES, where she is responsible for creating and maintaining partnerships and managing projects. Over the years Dara has a solid track record of success with employers and clients improving operations and establishing new practices and methodologies for optimal administrative and research support in the areas of human resources, education and public administration. She has worked with a wide range of clients in the public and private sector in the United States and Thailand.    She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from DePaul University and utilizes her anthropological skills to immerse herself into her love of cultural globalization research. To understand the wants and needs of her clients, she uses ethnographic research to identify potential customer concerns and to uncover patterns in consumer behavior.

Ting Chu

Manager, Graphic Design

Ting leads graphic design at SOSRES, where she is responsible for producing multimedia content. A multidisciplinary visual illustrator with over 10 years of experience, Ting creates multimedia content across a variety of platforms and mediums, from designing complex infographic knowledge products to conceptualizing original logos. Ting is also fluent a variety of other artistic media, including watercolor and sculpture. Ting speaks Mandarin, English and Thai.

Sharif Ahmed

Manager, Web Development

Sharif works on web development projects for SOSRES. He has six years experience working with clients to develop sites and is competent with a wide range of tools including PHP, MYSQL, Codeigniter, HTML, CSS, Wordpress, Joomla, Javascript, jQuery and AJAX. He is constantly learning, staying up to date with the latest web technologies and applications.

Sharif is a graduate of the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology in Bangladesh where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. He is fluent in English and Bangla.

Soyoung Chung

Editorial Manager

Soyoung is the lead editor at SOSRES, where she is responsible for producing and reviewing editorial content. Soyoung has worked with a number of government and intergovernmental institutions, including the United Nations, managing high profile communications projects. Beginning her career in the private sector in public relations, Soyoung has since built her career around public affairs.
